GeneralPosted by Mrs Mcintyre Mon, June 22, 2009 18:03:36Hello everyone and what a lovely time we are having with everyone here in GB. Although it is hectic for us while we try to ensure that things run smoothly, it has been delightful to see our Spanish guests in our surroundings, appreciating the English towns and countryside. Thank you too for bringing some excellent weather from Spain!
The pupils had an interesting time in school I hope on Friday and they were very impressed with our large school and particularly the sports facilities. Everyone was still smiling by lunchtime on Friday and then they set off to the Cathedral for a superb guided visit. Our Spanish teachers told us that everyone was very impressed with the beauty of the building and its long history and the guide was a mine of information.
Over the weekend, we have taken our visitors to Salisbury for the day out - do go and visit the City and cathedral again if you have not been there for a while. The new font is one of the most stunning things I have seen for a long time. Look at the designer's website. - williampye.com - his use of running water inside buildings is unique.
Mr Martinez hosted our guests on Sunday to re-visit familiar parts of the region. S. Mora has been enjoying a closer look at Bristol which he remembers well from the 70s.
I am looking forward to seeing what our partner pupils thought about Glastonbury today! The worksheets we offered them may have helped to gain an impression of this rather special place and - it didn't rain for their picnic on the Tor. Hurrah!!
Bath on Tuesday and Bristol on Wednesday - thank goodness Mrs Shingler said to get a group booking for Banksy - we go at 1.15 and jump the queue!
Hasta luego
Mrs McIntyre

GeneralPosted by Mrs Mcintyre Thu, June 11, 2009 21:22:19You will see that I have started to be able to upload some images to the various posts. It makes it so much more lively looking , doesn't it?

Please feel free to go back to your posting and add an image or two. If you would like to add something new, then add it to the posts here or put it under "Thoughts".
Some considerations
I think if you feel like adding a photo to someone
else's entry, you should email them first and check if they would mind or not. Likewise I have some funny pictures, but I will make a CD of everything for you, rather than post to this public blog. Don't post anything which you mind someone less friendly with you seeing and stick to first names. Please ask staff if they mind photos being posted. E.g. I don't mind being on your Facebook site, but
not tagged and I would rather not be on anyone's Bebo site. Please check with others too.
You can remove anything you don't wish to be written or seen but it is courtesy to tell the original poster of the message first. Hope that is clear.
Could you all let me have a copy of your best photos for compilation? You can email me with attachments or give me a CD. Muchas gracias and all the best to year 10s with a number of exams to do. Mucha suerte.
